Classic Fedora Panama Hat
The Fedora #2 Panama Hat is the classic fedora style, known also as a center dent crown, and blocked in long oval.
This hat is called a center dent due to the dent that runs down the center of the crown.
This Fedora #2 Panama hat is blocked on an oval hat block rather then a perfectly round one to fit the average person better.
Slightly more oval then a Fedora #1 or a Havana model similar to a Trilby model or a Gambler. If you don't know if your are long oval or not, then probably any hat model on our site will be fine for you. However, if you know you are a long oval, then you can still chose any hat model, but let us know that you are a long oval so we can specially block your hat for you unless you chose a hat that is already a long oval. If you are a standard, then don't worry- any hat should fit you fine- only long oval heads will have problems causing the brim to buckle on the sides.

Classic Havana Panama Hat
The Havana Panama Hat has the classic C crown style, known also as a Fedora C crown or Teardrop Crown, and blocked in standard oval.
The standard crown height of this Havana model is 3.9" - 4.1" measuring from the brim to the top point of the crown in the front of the hat.
The back of the crown is a little lower then the front giving this hat a leveler appearance from a side profile, the back measures between 3.7" - 3.9" and 4.3" - 4.4" on the side of the hat.
This Havana Panama hat is known for it's C crown and teardrop shaped crown, as well this hat is blocked on a semi oval hat block rather then a perfectly round one to fit better.

The Classic Optimo Panama Hat. Robert Redford and may others used this model. This is the best roll up model, and blocked in standard oval.
The standard crown height of the Optimo model is 4" - 4.5" measuring from the brim to the top of the point on the side of the hat.

Classic Plantation Panama Hat
The Classic Plantation Panama Hat is known for a larger brim and great sun protection. Uses the same block as Fedora #1, but the difference is in the brim, and blocked in standard oval.
The standard crown height of this Plantation model is the same as the Fedora #1 model since the same blocks are use for each one.
The front of the crown is 4.1" - 4.3", and the back of the crown is lower then the front measuring between 3.3" - 3.5" giving it a sloping appearance from the side profile. The height on the side is 4.1" - 4.5".

Classic Trilby Panama Hat
The Classic Trilby Panama Hat is similar to the Fedora #2, but not! If it had a taller crown it could be a Western model. Blocked in standard oval.
The standard crown height of the Trilby model is 4.75" measuring from the brim to the top of the point on the side of the hat.
The back of the crown is exactly the same as the front, measuring between 3.75" creating a level appearance.
This classic Trilby Panama hat is blocked on an oval hat block rather then a perfectly round one to fit the average person better. This is slightly more oval then a Fedora #1 or a Havana model, and similar to a Fedora #2 model. If you don't know if you are long oval or not, then probably any hat model on our site will be fine for you.
